It's tough for Australia to break new ground.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

We're talking about the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to an additional six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, targeted by the record chasers, are what's still available for a squad that has achieved everything.

The fact it required until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the pitchers that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their hitters to hold a record if not afforded the possibility.

Certain people claim the argument supporting final game tension. Others can counter with the challenge that comes when confronting a historic chase and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What is certain is this hundred was considerably tougher to anticipate.

"If you've observed me in practice sessions, it has been a challenging time because I feel like I lacked timing completely," commented Healy.

"Pursuing 330 is new territory so I'm happy we have the assurance to accomplish that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, should it happen, we know we can succeed."

Those words will be the last Australia's opponents at this World Cup should hear.

In recent days a sense they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this victory coming after win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.
